HIP was founded in the 1940s as a prepaid group practice health plan conducting business in New York City, Long Island and Westchester. Today, we are a health care company that offers a broad spectrum of group and network-based health care products including HMO, PPO, POS and EPO plans, and ASO services to approximately 1.4 million individuals in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
