HIP Continues Year 2000 Changes Announces Alliance with Top Hospitals and Physicians
CREATES UNIQUE HEALTHCARE DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR N.Y
New York, N.Y. Dec. 7-HIP Health Plan of New York today announced that
it has formed an alliance with Montefiore Medical Center and Lenox Hill
Hospital and is working to develop an alliance with Mount Sinai Medical
Center and NYU Medical Center to give HIP's members unprecedented access
to four of New York City's premier medical institutions.

Dr. Spencer Foreman, President of Montefiore Medical Center: "Montefiore
welcomes this new affiliation as the culmination of a long-standing relationship
with HIP that stretches back nearly 50 years. By linking Montefiore's
existing network with HIP's centers in the Bronx and Westchester, members

The alliance announced today will replace the New York Medical Group whose
contract, which expires on June 30, 2000, will not be renewed. Following

Lenox Hill Hospital

Montefiore Medical Center
